The Overlay Widget view features a global search form from which results open instantly over the page, allowing visitors to quickly see search results as they type, wherever they are on your site. This search view offers users an expansive look at search results in an instant while also providing the ability to filter and view search suggestions.

You should enable AddSearch’s Overlay Widget under your Theme’s App embeds section. You can do this by following the instructions below:

1. In the Store’s admin page, click Online Store link to open the menus on the left of the page
2. Click Themes link to open the theme page
3. Click Customize button on the center of the page to open the theme’s settings page
4. Click App Embeds button on the left of the page to open the Widget toggles
5. Use the toggle to Enable the Overlay Widget

In addition to this standard Widget behavior, you can find a host of advanced settings from the Dashboard you can toggle to enhance the search experience.

Please note that you cannot combine the overlay widget view with the Separate results page view.
