Dashboard Indexing

You can update your index with a full recrawl. Full recrawl refers to a process where our crawler goes through the pages on your website. It looks for new web pages as well as changes in existing web pages and indexes the changes. Please note that initiating a full recrawl does not clear the index before the recrawl.

Full recrawl is useful after making large changes on your site. If you change the domain name or pages’ path structure on your website, the index contains outdated content until our crawler catches up.

To update the index of your site, you can request a full recrawl for all your pages from the AddSearch dashboard.

Instructions

To start a full re-crawl, follow these instructions:

  1. Login to your AddSearch Account
  2. Go to Index tools
  3. Click Full recrawl under Full re-crawl

Depending on the size of your website, the recrawl can take a few minutes up to hours before the entire website is indexed.

Note, you can perform a full recrawl once a week. Trial users can perform a full recrawl every 60 minutes.

After requesting a full recrawl, our system will show you when you can request it again.

If you need another full re-crawl sooner, please contact our support.

You can also add and update individual pages manually with these instructions.
